So this is Trump’s way of “sticking it to the Man”?

 I went out tonight to see an uplifting and heartbreaking documentary that confirmed my trust in the good people can do (and the evil). It was “Checkpoint Zoo.” The story is of a huge “ecopark” that was home to 5000 animals, just outside Karkiv. Karkiv is 30 miles from the Russian border, and in 2022 , during the invasion, was a prime target. Rather quickly the battle lines were drawn, with Ukrainian forces holding the line at Karkiv,  and Russian forces just inside the Ukraine border. This left the ecopark in the middle, without power, water, or people to care for the animals. The last checkpoint on the road to the zoo from Karkiv was “Checkpoint Zero.”

In 71 days, volunteers managed to remove and relocate 4700 animals, even as Russian forces shelled it relentlessly. People can be the best.

It was certainly a relief from this.

Trump hyped a huge autism announcement for months then followed through today with a press conference where his brain leaked out of his ears for an hour while he couldn't pronounce "acetaminophen" and yelled "DON'T TAKE ASPIRIN" over and over.
