"I would like to say 'This book is written to the glory of God', but nowadays this would be the trick of a cheat, i.e., it would not be correctly understood."--Ludwig Wittgenstein
"Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards."--Soren Kierkegaard
It's disgusting that a president gets to vandalize public property like Trump has. I would guess that there's no way to sue him for the costs of restoring what he's destroyed. Though I still like the idea of turning his ballroom into a homeless shelter. It would be fitting to have one in such a prominent position. Though I'm even more in favor of relegating the Supreme Court to a basement room in the Capitol and turning that horrible building into a homeless shelter or low income housing. Zeroing out their budget except for their salaries.
And now Trump wants to collect $230 million in attorneys fees from the government for defending himself in the two criminal cases. The lawyer who would decide to pay that is one of the lawyers he hired for those cases. I’m sure this is all a part of the “unitary executive theory” the Roberts Court is so fond of.
