Trump could release the Epstein files tomorrow. All he has to do is tell Bondi to do it.
His announcement was just an effort to reclaim the headlines by getting the House to vote, and move on. He thought that would get the story out of the headlines. Or he wanted it to.
But it wasn’t a Hail, Mary pass, and it wasn’t an attempt to switch sides. Trump is just mad he can’t make it go away.

Rumors out there the "files" are being scrubbed of Republican names, especially ones starting with "T". I kinda don't think that would come as a surprise to or move the needle for anybody. I also suspect there are incriminating things still in private hands that may yet see daylight. It will be interesting to see which parts of the press corpse dig into this and which ones try to help cover it up.
