Aside from the fact what a hell on earth we’ve made of this country. And our complete unwillingness to face that fact.
Trump was President in 2018. Trump is President now. And yet he tells us his mere awesome presence in the Oval Office would have stopped Putin from invading Ukraine, and now he’s savagely cleaning up crime in major American cities and in the high seas. But this is his strongest immediate response (after getting the facts of the shooting all wrong):
