Now its apparently going to impose a blockade on that same oil which will accelerate the crisis and may even trigger an even more devastating Red Sea blockade. This won't even affect Iran in the short-term since they still have large numbers of tankers already offshore that can sell oil for the next 40 days but it is going to extend the blockade on all the other Persian Gulf states while annihilating every other country on earth that relied on maritime energy shipping from the region. The whole U.S.-led international order based on protecting maritime transit is going to be a smoking crater at the end of the massively unforced error that was this war, and for what purpose exactly?
