"The central doctrine of Christianity, then, is not that God is a bastard. It is, in the words of the late Dominican theologian Herbert McCabe, that if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you."--Terry Eagleton

"It is impossible for me to say in my book one word about all that music has meant in my life. How then can I hope to be understood?--Ludwig Wittgenstein

No justice, no peace

One other thing about George Zimmerman:

“He’s in hiding,’ O’Mara said. “I don’t think he ever walks the street again without thinking the person walking at him, or behind him, has the anger that we now see in some of the tweets … there is so much emotion attached to this case.”

Which means, as Lance Gross points out, Zimmerman now gets to know what it's like to live as a black man in America.

Call it some measure of justice.

O'Mara and that other lawyer went from just doing their job to actively promoting themselves as heroes of white supremacists in that press conference. It might, possibly, be the most disgusting display of lawyers I've ever seen.
