I talked about the relatively low number of cases in Maine with a politician yesterday. He pointed out that Janet Mills, our governor, had made the most of our location, that a good part of it was due to the shutting down of cross border traffic with Canada and that we are the only contiguous state that shares a border with only one state, New Hampshire. And she's taken the advice of public health officials - as I've mentioned her sister Dr. Dora Mills was Maine's for a number of years. If we'd had a Republican governor, it would have been a lot worse. He thought that a lot of the population being in a fairly large land mass, for an Eastern State had something to do with it,I noted that most of the population lives pretty well in the coastal areas. I doubt we're going to stay so lucky.
