Biden ahead of Trump by 1 point in Texas.— Yashar Ali 🐘 (@yashar) June 25, 2020
Notice that GOP Senator John Cornyn is ahead of his two potential Democratic opponents by 10 points.
This is the same poll...why is Cornyn ahead of Democratic opponents but Trump is losing by 1 point to his? https://t.co/q93vILb60Z
West and Hegar are unknown*, and Cornyn, Biden, and Trump aren't.
Trump would actually benefit from being unknown, but it's too late for that, now.
There's a tendency to dismiss TX and its latent competitiveness at the Presidential level by dismissing 2018 as a function of Ted Cruz being, well, Ted Cruz. But remember, by the time Beto got 48% and came within 3 points, Cruz JA was net positive and Trump was at 49% in exits.— Liam Donovan (@LPDonovan) June 25, 2020
I keep tellin' ya Texas is shifting on it's political axis.
*pretty much what campaigns are for; or used to be. The primary runoff for the Democratic Senate race isn't until July.
