All Along The Watchtower

The fires of this dumpster issue are still burning.

I'm a Boomer who remembers RFK very well, from his speech on the day Dr. King was killed, to his assassination (I was a little young to pay attention to him as AG, but he wasn't exactly the liberal standard-bearer I imagine some are remembering now, then.) And I cannot for the life of me see how keeping his killer in jail for life is either justice or sanctifying RFK's memory.

Then again, as I've said, I take that message about setting the prisoners free far more literally than metaphorically.  I find Jesus makes so much more sense when you take him at his word.

Meanwhile, back in political world:
MTG is tilting at a different windmill than Lawrence Tribe, but that's the only difference between them here.  She's a joke; even McCarthy won't let her be on a committee, yet "we" will "retaliate."  She got a mouse in her pocket?  They'll shut down the telecoms?  Sure they will.  Right after they declare the moon property of the U S of A and make all foreigners tattoo a large red "F" on their foreheads for easy identification.

MTG is as powerless as Lawrence Tribe to affect the events she rails against.  It's the screaming and yelling in public (in children we call it a tantrum) that's so embarrassing.  One expects better of Tribe, and of members of Congress.

One is so often disappointed; especially as the wind begins to howl.

  1. It was one of my most satisfying moments as a blogger when I was able to point out to a certain troll that if he wanted to claim the smut and sensationalism peddler Ralph Ginsburg being prosecuted was an antisemitic act, it was his hero Bobby Kennedy AG who was the one who signed off on the prosecution, not to mention the fact that he was the one who lost out to Roy Cohn to be Joseph McCarthy's (shame of my name) chief of staff.

Harvard Law had to hire in Elizabeth Warren from outside, another of my more treasured moments as a blogger was pointing out that she graduated from Rutgers, not a ritzy private university.

You know my opinion of Harvard.

  3. and as for the women, they got abortions. why? because men won't wrap it up, or because they didn't want anything more than to get laid and did not care about any consequences.
