Boebert thinks Biden is Harry Truman, And that racism must be defended.Tell it to the men and women that got 125,000 people out of war zone under fire. https://t.co/QGnQR8jYVF

After Ike walked all over Houston, we had to wait three weeks for power to be restored to our neighborhood. Not that I'm wishing that on New Orleans, bless 'em. I'm rather amazed, in fact, that with 2000 miles of power lines down they can get power back to any part of the city 10 days after the storm. And I'm guessing, from experience, the restoration of power is gonna be slow and tedious for many. Everything looks easier from 30,000 feet. Meanwhile, Texas is in the news, and those of us who aren't rabid Republican lunatics but still live in Texas are just so proud!People in and around New Orleans may have to wait until Wednesday — 10 days after Hurricane Ida struck — for power to be restored, according to Louisiana's largest electric utility. https://t.co/QKzDS04Ez8

Yeah, let's put something concrete behind that:Seeing danger, some in GOP leery of Texas abortion law (from @AP) https://t.co/FmfuS7YSOc

That isn't really the least of it:This is WILD. I mean, the biggest victory for arguably the central animating cause of the conservative grassroots for the last four decades and NOT A MENTION? https://t.co/RZAmkejvjy

Which brings back this ugly bit of "extra-legal" service that I mentioned earlier, but perhaps deserves more direct attention:“The sinister thing about the Texas law is it sort of creates a vigilante system,” President Biden says.

Yes, please turn in people who know on your street, from NextDoor, from Facebook, for aiding and abetting abortions in Texas! You don't even have to live here! And it's the internet, you can do it anonymously! Ain't it great?! What could possibly go wrong?Texas Right to Life has launched a new website site that asks “pro-life whistleblowers” to anonymously snitch out anyone they think has helped someone get an abortion the state. I wonder if they're using SecureDrop. https://t.co/wg3K0VBzJf

I like the idea of them suing men who cause the pregnancies that are then terminated. If the taxi driver or someone who gave a woman travel money can be sued, why not him? Maybe the women who became pregnant could sue them. They'd change the law in a day if that started happening.
