in the thirteen days before you take the bar exam, you will be required to obtain an Atari 1040ST computer, the only device currently able to run our software. we are aware that this technical failure will cause you a great deal of stress. this encourages us. https://t.co/kFEZgNyC0O
(If I recall correctly, I took the Bar Exam with a set of pencils. I honestly don't recall; my past is a blur of "bubble" exams taken with boxes of pencils. If I try to hard to remember it, pencils start chasing me in my dreams across fields of "bubbles". We were the generation they started that crap on, it became second nature to color in ovals on sheets printed with rows of them. I don't remember if there was an essay portion to the Texas Bar Exam, but I'm pretty darned sure there were a lot of bubbles to fill in.
Or we just took it in a stack of Blue books. Maybe that's what we did. Either way, we didn't have to worry about "triggering Exemplify's automatic virtual machine check." Worst thing we ever had to worry about was coloring the oval enough the machine would "read" it correctly. Well, that and my godawful handwriting. I think that cost me in more than a few of my lawschool classes, if I'm honest.)*
*Yeah, I know, I'm turning into an old curmudgeon. About time my age caught up with my life-long attitude.
As a veteran of four separate bar exams I am happy in retrospect that the only acts of prudence required were to study and bring an extra pen.
