There’s a family tree of the Queen’s corgis https://t.co/nC7UzH6Y7A pic.twitter.com/MkpYnoYQl3

A legacy of her father’s was The Queen’s passion for corgis. He gifted her with her first Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Susan, for her 18th birthday, with Her Majesty keeping 14 generations of Susan’s descendants as pets. https://t.co/OXKgfPnvu8 pic.twitter.com/WsqgB5WBUA

(Although I have to say the idea of the UK being the Corgi here is a bit...odd.) And giving fair time to opposing views:9/9/2022- Queen Elizabeth II #Elizabeth #ElizabethII #QueenElizabeth #RestInPeace #RestInPeaceQueenElizabeth https://t.co/evcXLHfcgm pic.twitter.com/wg7B9k7WSW

Ms. Gonne was unimpressed by royalty.
Although it's almost not an iota's worth of difference, my respect for Queen Elizabeth in death, is not the same thing as honoring the monarchy:Now, when the chief of the Choctaw Nation passes, the Irish will mourn. pic.twitter.com/rFPwMD83bA

Not going to snark too heavily on the late Queen’s funeral. Just enough to warm up for the nauseating US TV coverage of Charles’coronation. pic.twitter.com/WrJgDO6v5D

The Queen is dead. Long live the King. (Maybe it's time to revisit that play about a fictional King Charles III causing a constitutional crisis? Too soon?)Congrats to Great Britain. Soon your percentage for beheading King Charleses will drop from 50 percent to 33.

For the moment, anyway.
My parents, both veterans of WWII, respected her for her wartime service, neither of them were especially big fans of the monarchy though my mother did watch the royal weddings. The one with William and what's-her-name, I saw a little of it while she was watching it and all I could think was those poor dumb kids are accepting a lifetime sentence for them and their children. I'll look on the bright side, the Murdoch media hate Charles so he must have some good in him. My brother claims it was him and his son who talked E II into sidelining Randy Andy after his ties to the pedophile rape were exposed.
ReplyDeleteBritain could use a constitutional crisis. If it, like us, it doesn't have one already.
