One woman ran newlyweds down when she was drunk.
One woman will probably be exonerated, because there was a gun involved. The law, the expression of the will of the community, gives her a defense because a gun was involved. The other woman will face serious criminal charges with little or no defense because the law, the expression of the will of the community, doesn’t give her one or want to excuse her actions. She was drunk; what was she thinking? The other woman had a gun, so she used it. It doesn’t matter what she was thinking.
These are the laws. These are the expressions of the community.
