πŸŒ‘πŸŒ’

For the first time in my life, when I renewed my driver’s license, I had to show a birth certificate. Which I had no trouble obtaining (in the old days I’d have sent a check to Austin and waited six months. That would have been when I got a passport, in 1975.). I went to a county office and got it in 10 minutes. Ain’t technology wonderful.

This had nothing to do with federal election law, but it was due to federal law.  A law requiring I have “verified” ID so I can buy a plane ticket and board the plane. It connects with voting in Texas because, while I used to show my voter registration card to vote (and I still get one), I now have to show my DL. A DL that I can only obtain by showing a birth certificate.

So what does this proposed law do, again? I mean, I don’t like voter ID, but there are more effective means already in place.

Now let’s talk about Ukraine and the border….
