Yeah, his lawyers don’t want him going from “the judge is crooked!” to “That witness was a stone cold liar!” Tends to waive 5th Amendment rights and stuff like that.

Trump can’t spend 6 weeks saying the same thing; the cameras will go away. But enough commentary on the day’s testimony, and the prosecution can call him as a witness. So maybe the solution is to remove the cameras.
