Sometimes The Best Fight Is Not To

I was going to rebut LaCivita. But even the WSJ editorial board has turned on this swift boating crap. So let’s go for context: Walz isn’t even the top of the ticket. This is a desperate attempt to get Walz off the ticket, or to get the ticket to respond. They’d really like Harris/Walz to answer, so Trump/Vance have a narrative they can control.

But the GOP convention is over:
And it’s too late to make the delegates give up their ear bandages for Purple Heart bandaids.🩹 There’s also the fact the SBVT were independent of the GOP campaign. Trump could (implausibly) disavow Project 2025. The campaign is finding these people to exploit this way. That’s never going to be a good look.πŸ‘€

This “issue” is going nowhere. But LaCivita is trying to keep his job, especially after the disaster at MAL yesterday. Trump took over the press conference his campaign was going to hold, because he alone can save it.  Of course, it was a flaming dumpster fire so disconnected from reality he said gasoline is priced by the barrel ($7, 8, or 9 a barrel for crude oil, which is how it is priced, would be 1910 prices. Trump literally just spews words, with no understanding of what they mean.). And because of it, MAGA wants LaCivita’s head.

How long until Trump decides he’s got nothing to lose by ditching him?
However reliable this is (or isn’t), it’s blood in the water to Trump, and more fuel for the fire on Truth Social to dump LaCivita. Yeah, that speech is gonna leave a mark, despite the best efforts of the NYT: Well, at least they covered the helicopter story.

  1. The NYT is in the tank for Trumpain fascism, they've been since 2015. Its subscribers, mostly Democrats, are chumps.
