I think that analysis is a rare moment when ew is too optimistic; but time will tell.

Pundits vomited up everything Trump told them about his debate -- remember when NYT stated as fact that Tulsi had "eviscerated" Harris? And Politico claimed that the shadow of Tulsi "loomed over" her?

Yet VP TOLD YOU exactly what she was going to do and you missed it. Why?

That's the salient question. Or at least the issue to keep in mind: political reporting follows the herd, and by and large, sucks. It's gossip, and the Democrats are never the Kewl Kids. Even when the Republicans are demonstrably insane xenophobic racists. Because while the "press" tries to be liberal on matters of race...they really aren't.
