Trump Tries To Unscrew The Lightbulb

She didn't go to court and prove her case. And, as Kaplan pointed out, Trump could have testified in court. He did by deposition, where he confused Marla Maples with the plaintiff; which is probably the reason the jury didn't believe him when he said he'd never met Carroll. (Sauer made the same argument this morning in oral arguments. That's a fact issue, not one you bring up to appellate judges. Appellate court is where you argue points of law, not relitigate the facts of the case. In legal parlance, the jury settled that question. It can't be raised again.) ๐Ÿ˜ˆ  I hope Sauer's been paid already. As I said: other than his name, Trump didn't understand a word said in that room this morning. And this is why I don't think punishment is a deterrence: Trump slandered her once; lost the suit. Slandered her again: lost the suit. Now he's going for a threepeat. When will he ever learn?
