I respect Maggie's reporting, but sometimes her acumen leaves something to be desired.  Trump was surprised by this story and "ran with it"?  Because:

I'm not sure we can say Trump was playing with a surprise new toy and then got bored with it and would rather play with the box.

Even though that's exactly what it looks like.....(although now the story about the reporter noticing Reagan's Alzheimer's months before he left office seems oddly comforting.  Or maybe it's just "oddly familiar."  But we all see this, right?  Right?)
