Meanwhile, back at the ranch.....

Catching up with what was cached during the 12 days:
“Grow up, Donald, grow up. Time to be an adult, you’re president,” Biden said in an interview with PBS NewHour. “You’ve got to do something. Show us what you have. You’re going to propose legislation, we’re going to get to debate it. Let the public decide. Let them vote in Congress. Let’s see what happens.”

“It’s going to be much clearer what he’s for and against, and what we’re for and against, now that it’s going to get down to actually discussing, in detail, these issues that affect people’s lives,” Biden continued.
Vice President Joe Biden, when asked about Donald Trump's use of Twitter.

Does anybody think that's going to happen?

Why does he care?  More importantly, he has a continuing financial interest in that show:  does he want it to succeed, or does his ego want it to fail?  And what does this say about his approach to the Presidency?

Again, I ask....

They don't report it because, of course, it isn't true.  But again, why is he tweeting about this?  Legislation hasn't even been introduced yet.

He's going to be briefed on that within 12 hours of posting this tweet.  Is this how he plans to conduct all his business as President?  Telegraphing to the world what he thinks, and how he's already arguing with the agencies that serve his office?  But remember, he's a big fan of "intelligence"!

I suppose we should be encouraged that he now needs more than 140 characters to convey his thoughts.

Grow up, Donald. Do it really, really fast.  We can't separate ourselves from this mad leader as effectively as we did from King George.

  1. I can see the national security crisis when the generals or FEMA or some other entity are waiting for Trump to decide and he's busy tweeting snark about Arnold and the quality of his decisions on Celebrity Apprentice.

If I had Lin-Manuel Miranda in front of me I'd lambaste him for holding up Alexander Hamilton as some kind of hero for a new generation of ignorant people. If I had Hamilton in front of me I might shoot him for that electoral college idiocy.

I know the anticipation of the full disaster is what's making me so bitter but it's the fact that nothing will happen to prevent it happening again because "founding fathers" that's really making me impossible to live with.

It's going to be horrible. Got to go read some Psalms and minor prophets. That's the best preparation I've had, so far.

  2. We haven't even touched on the emoluments clause.

Trump will be violating his oath the moment his hand comes off the Bible. And will Congress do anything about it?

    Constitutional requirements are SO inconvenient!

  3. George III didn't go mad until after we rebelled (although there might've been some precursor episodes). Now we're getting a madman, as advertised.
