The Buffoon-In-Chief

Actually, we do know why; and it's not because the Governor of South Dakota called you and said "you've got to do me a favor."

The National Park Service (NPS) will evaluate a special use permit with the State of South Dakota to host a fireworks display at Mount Rushmore National Memorial during the Independence Day holiday in 2020. This evaluation includes tribal consultation, and compliance with the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), and Endangered Species Act (ESA). The NPS and State will evaluate various operational, logistical, resource management and mitigation measures. There will be an opportunity for public comment in early 2020.
And now, "now" we're not going to have it.  Believe of not, numbskull, this is still a government of laws, not of men.

This is the guy in charge, and he's as clueless as a five-year old, and ignorant as a stump.
