“Well, he’s the president” was Clinton’s argument in the Paula Jones case, where Clinton was actually sued for damages (as opposed to here, where Trump’s accountants, not Trump, must produce some files).

We are told this is being treated as normal, that Trump’s behavior is being “normalized.” It’s not, any more than coping with a natural disaster means you are treating the disaster as normal. The fact Biden is beating Trump from a basement is evidence Trump is not being accepted, much less “normalized.”

At this point, we’re just trying to get through the disaster.
