I'm barely old enough to remember the "Red Scare" and the "Commies." I've also been around long enough to know that calling the Chinese government "Communist" is a serious throw back that might impress the mouth-breathers on Facebook

But then, there are still flat-earthers, too:
Your attempts at debunking this video do not change the fact that we do not trust Bill Gates and will not be getting his disgusting vaccine— Juliette Fretté (@JulietteFrette) May 11, 2020
Trying to blame China for the catastrophe in the U.S. is just pathetic. Even if we do blame them, does that protect one person from the virus here? Does it provide one more swab, more reagent, more PPE? Do we go to war with China over this? Do we let our goverment off the hook because they failed to defend us in any manner whatsoever? What's the end game here? Rile up the flat-earthers and anti-vaxxers and get 'em to the polls in November?
That'll account for about 1/10th of 1% of the electorate. Besides, the parents of kids who can't take 'em to Disneyland right now are more worried about their children's health than about Mickey Mouse. Are they gonna connect that anxiety to "commies in China" to "Re-elect Trump"?
Then I find out he also declared Trump to be the state, and the living manifestation of us all.

If we are who this President is, we're worse off than I ever imagined.
"Death star" is more and more turning into the right analogy for the Trump re-election "machine".
