Yeah, Probably Not

This is a vaccine that has to be stored at 100F below zero, is delivered in cartons of 1000 minimum, and once thawed needs to be used within 5 days or discarded. And it has to be given again, to the same people, 28 days after the first inoculation.

The "general population" simply won't have access to facilities that can handle this, nor will there be enough doses even if they did.  Once again Trump is selling the sizzle, not the steak.  Besides:
So, basically, the state of New York; or Michigan and North Carolina, combined. Not even Texas, California, or Florida. What is his concept of "general population"? Even Trump knows he's done.  And no Administration can go to a lockdown; the President doesn't have that authority, which is why Trump never did it in the first place. Trump would rather tell us the vaccine is coming. In April. Just wait, you'll see. You'll see, if you're still here.

  1. I wouldn't take a vaccine until all a. medical frontline workers, including EMTs, Firefighers, etc. got it, b. School teachers and students and staff got it, c. others who are more vulnerable got it. And there may be several other groups in that list. A geezer who can effectively isolate - as long as my money olds out and I'm squeezing every nickle, should be the last person who gets it. That is if it's effective and an effective vaccination campaign is mounted. It would seem that Trump, Congressional Republicans, etc. are trying to sabotage any such effort that the President who will have to be in charge of one, Biden, will do. I pray that he people Biden is already putting in charge of that will be able to take immediate control.

I hope the Biden Department of Justice goes after anyone who is trying to ratfuck this because they are guilty of negligent homicide at the very least. If the law doesn't call it that then the law is a dangerously big ass.

  2. Biden's got to bring the big hammer to this and to other matters. I do believe the antipathy McConnell had to Obama was racist. McConnell knows Biden, and the racism card isn't in play, so it may be Biden (a creature of the Senate himself) can work with McConnell. If not, he needs to channel TR and use his "bully pulpit." Republicans won because people are scared. Hard times do not call for radical change, unless they are so hard there's no point in the status quo (ie., the Great Depression). The resurgence of the virus and the economic pain continuing (it never ended) for many, may well provide that "hard time." It didn't in November (never doubt the power of incumbency), but things are going to get worse in 2021, and Xmas ain't gonna be what it used to be.

Nor Thxgiving, for that matter. Goddamn, I'm tired of playing the roles of Cassandra and Jeremiah.
