Why are Democrats playing? Trump told Steve Inskeep the 2024 election will be about solving the problem of the 2020 election. The only “problem” of the 2020 election is that Trump lost. The Democrats then need do only two things: address the problems of the day, and point out the GOP has nothing to offer. The truth of that will be plain enough. The modern GOP is for just one thing: Making Democrats mad. Think of Representative Thomas Massie’s Twitter Christmas greeting showing him and his wife and children holding what Forbes estimated was tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of guns...https://t.co/CiHfiXhMkr

The important part of this (aside from the reminder that yes, Virginia, there is a legal system), is that it is a ruling on requirements of the Ohio Constitution. Which means it's not reviewable by the Roberts court, so this is the final word on the matter. Take the victories where you find them.🚨BREAKING: Ohio Supreme Court STRIKES DOWN state legislative districts as partisan gerrymanders.

Big victory for @EliasLawGroup, the National Redistricting Action Fund and the voters of Ohio!https://t.co/cb0TEX03GN
Unless the Roberts’ court is consulted.U.S. Const. art. I, § 4: “The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except [where Senators are chosen].”

The British PM answers to the Parliament (barely; his Party controls it), can face a vote of no confidence (and so must call new elections), and must call new elections on a regular basis. POTUS is POTUS for four years at a time. Only one President has ever been forced to resign. None has ever ended their term due to impeachment.Truly a sad statement about the US political system that Boris Johnson is facing more accountability for attending a garden party than Donald Trump faced for trying to illegally seize power after losing an election by inciting a violent insurrection.

This is coming to public attention a year later, and those involved don’t want to talk about it. Again: it’s easy to talk about weaknesses in the system. It is very hard to exploit them. So, how weak are they, really? The fake certificates were created by Republicans in SEVEN swing states who sought to replace valid presidential electors w/ a pro-Trump slate, per docs obtained by @weareoversight.
