Early Christian Writings

This is fascinating.

A friend in ministry just sent me that link. Read the list over carefully; it's a Biblical scholar's view of early Christian writings; by which I mean, you'll note it includes the canonical texts of the New Testament. Not texts most lay people think of as "early Christian writings," at least not in a context like this. But this wonderful list not only puts them in context, but in chronology. Note, for example, that all of Paul's letters predate the first gospel in the canonical order. Notice, too, all the documents in between the canonical gospels and the late date of some of the letters. And then all the stuff that never made it in.

As I said, this is fascinating. Shoot, I may have to get the CD!
