"This is the hand, the hand that takes...."

In Ray Bradbury's famous butterfly-induced timeline-change story "A Sound of Thunder," when the time travelers return to the now-fascist present words are misspelled and language is used differently. Basically, people have become dipshits because of this ideology.

And from what is happening, it definitely appears to be some kind of transmissible stupidity virus that also suppresses conscience.

If history is any guide, the only antidote that's ever worked has been force. Let's hope force of law is sufficient.
"Cause when love is gone,
There's always justice.
And when justice is gone,
there's always force.
And when force is gone,
There's always Mom.
Hi, Mom!"

It's just the way my mind works.  Because, yeah, Bradbury's future seems closer and closer every day.
