Happy birthday indeed, TC! And my wife was remembering yesterday how my mother, at 90, described other people in the retirement home where she lived her last 5 years, as "elderly."
She was easily one of the oldest residents in the building. I suppose it's a state of mind, like most things. Me, I'm in many ways the oldest 16 year old I know.
Elderly, 70 + 1 day. Some people get there a lot earlier than others, though. Some never reach it and remain puerile even as they become senile.
