(Trump, by the way, is denying no one their freedom. That's a determination made by state governors, based on public health concerns. Governors alone have the police power to authorize "stay at home" orders. Trump may announce the "All Clear," and some governors may heed him. But given the situation in Florida, I don't think DeSantis is going to tell everyone to hit the streets on May Day; or shortly thereafter, for that matter. And if governors do "release" their people and the virus explodes, will Trump credibly deny all responsibility again? It's Hobson's Choice for him: tell everyone to make the economy "explode," or take responsibility when that doesn't happen and it's the virus that explodes instead. Trump hates responsibility the way vampires hate sunlight. Put between that rock and hard place, who will he find to blame?)
