The uncomfortable truth is that Donald Trump left America exposed and vulnerable to this pandemic. He ignored the warnings of health experts and intelligence agencies and put his trust in China's leaders instead. Now, we're all paying the price.— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) April 17, 2020

...but they just aren't doing anything! At least, that's what I heard this morning....
Just a daily swing from total authority over everything to bystander watching it unfold https://t.co/oGQUUhiiNk— Benjy Sarlin (@BenjySarlin) April 17, 2020
Then again, Trump isn't doing anything, either.
Trump: Nobody told me about the pandemic I warned you about. If the economy is bad, it's the governors' fault, but if you don't get sick, credit me. I have all the authority and none of the responsibility.— Garry Kasparov (@Kasparov63) April 17, 2020
I’m not sure “governors are asking for too much medical equipment” is the great talking point the president thinks it is. https://t.co/egyol9VtWZ— Josh Barro (@jbarro) April 17, 2020
And no, I don't call "blaming everybody else" doing anything.

Yeah, that's why Trump's pissed at New York.
Meanwhile, this kind of thing makes me a little nuts:
2/ any legitimate discussion of any aspect of the COVID19 Crisis without admitting to President Trump's responsibility for reckless, selfish gambles and incompetence that has very literally led to or is in the process of leading to tens of thousands of American deaths and grave..— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) April 17, 2020
1) Yeah, refusing to talk about anything but Trump's resignation is not helping one person recover from, avoid, or grieve the loss of a loved one to, the coronavirus. It's about as empty a gesture as I can imagine right now.
2) We are going to play gatekeepers to who gets to join the "legitimate discussion of any aspect of the COVID 19 Crisis"? Has JMM met the internet? And we're going to do this why, again?
Nah, man. Eyes on the prize.
