Testing in Houston/Harris County has expanded by two more sites, in Walgreens parking lots. You still have to register first. More importantly, you still have to be symptomatic. They tested the entire 4,800 member crew of the Roosevelt. 60% of the positives were asymptomatic.— David Waldman-1, of Yorktown LLC™ (@KagroX) April 16, 2020
Reopening the economy without universal testing and tracking, and a vaccine, will be a disaster. https://t.co/daBvIpGLnQ
We are no more ready to “return to normal” than we were ready for this virus in the first place. In Texas, the school districts are independent government entities. They can neither be closed nor opened by the governor, or any other public official. They will function independently, and open classrooms when they can be sure their students are safe. The closer government is to the people, the less it wants to jump the gun.
Funny how that’s the “liberal” position now.
