Kanye West's candidacy is so clearly part of the president*’s re-election campaign that it should fool nobody. https://t.co/jxbOw8qF7K— Charles P. Pierce (@CharlesPPierce) August 5, 2020
But I say again: isn't it nakedly racist?
I mean, Kanye is associated with Trump politically, not Biden. And I assume any appeal he has is to the youngest possible voters. And it would seem the only reason Trump would try to get him on ballots is to draw black votes from Biden. Because, you know, black voters can't resist voting for a black candidate.
I mean, it's not like Obama was qualified or anything. Right? Hell, he wasn't even a natural born citizen! (You know Trump still doesn't think he was.)
Pretty much what I've been trying to get at.The tragic irony is that he's so racist he believes that black people are uniformly racist enough to vote for Kanye West just because of the color of his skin.— Rogue POTUS Staff (@RoguePOTUSStaff) August 5, 2020
He's basically meta-racist.
Trump is making Jesse Helms look like a moral exemplar.
