I was talking to about the smartest town official around here, talking about all of the things that are going to change almost immediately as people lose their homes, their incomes, as the schools that open make the cases here spike, etc. I don't think people have the first idea of how bad this is going to get. I told him they were going to have to stop enforcing the laws against people living in vehicles and sheds. It's going to force all kinds of changes fast. And that's not to mention things like how children are going to be educated.
ReplyDeleteWe still aren't beginning to cope with this. It's why we have 500,000 cases and one of the highest death counts in the world. Our status as a leading nation is in jeopardy. Our status as a first-world country is in jeopardy. And our "leaders" insist they must have their football.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely gets worse before it gets better. And one barometer of how it gets better is how many "Gym Jordans" are in the Congress in January.
