...only if 2020 is an absolute re-run of 2016 and Hillary Clinton is once again on the ticket driving turnout down. A rising tide may float all boats, but an ebb tide in electoral politics leaves all pundits yachts stranded and useless, and the scavengers get to pick the winner. If you think that's going to happen again, then yeah, Trump's re-election may rest on white evangelicals again.
But that ain't likely. Especially since Trump seems to be doing all he can to suppress his own voters turning out.
Those "Christians" in Sioux City are idiots. Morally and intellectually. And they are racists and bigots. I really think it's imperative to get Iowa and New Hampshire out of the business swaying the nominations. I'm hoping a national by-mail, Democrats only primary will happen next time. Take it out of the hands of the state legislatures, entirely.
