"I would like to say 'This book is written to the glory of God', but nowadays this would be the trick of a cheat, i.e., it would not be correctly understood."--Ludwig Wittgenstein

Mine would have to be composers, Probably J. S. Bach, especially if you count the ones I downloaded from IMSLP. I read too many books from libraries for it to be meaningless. Back when I lived in a university town I used to try to read complete works (or as nearly as they could be had from the university library) I can't guess which one I read the most of. My house is pretty small, I'd have to choose between food and clothes and fitting in more books. People will try to give me their parents collections of those. I don't know where they think I'd put them.
OK, I'll play.
ReplyDeleteMy tops (per number of volumes):
Ten volumes: Evelyn Waugh
G.K. Chesterton
Nine volumes: Soren Kierkegaard
Erasmus
That Kierkegaard's obviously more of a best seller than I had expected.
