"You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you."

It's the word "haphazard" that caught my eye.  I haven't read the article; I don't really need to.

This is not an Administration, nor even a mis-administration.  This is a a mal-administration.  This is what happens when you insist government is not the solution, it's the problem.  This is what happens when you insist government must be run like a business.

And this is almost parochial myopia:

Since the most "bungled attempts" are right here in America, where the pandemic is getting worse, not better.  Texas yesterday reported a positivity rate of 24.5%.  That means 1/4 of the people tested are infected.  If we had truly universal testing, as many other countries do, it would probably be much higher.

We have bragged in this country about having states with higher GDP's than many countries in the world.  Now?

"You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you.  All this stuff you collected--whose will it be now?"  That's the way it is for those who save up for themselves, but aren't rich where God is concerned.--Luke 12:20-21 (SV)
Funny, I haven't heard any evangelicals quoting that verse lately.  Or referencing that parable.  I wonder why?
