Honestly, I leave town for one day, and metaphors break out In Texas.Siri show me a metaphor for the Trump campaign https://t.co/dW7UGUHEfl— Thor Benson (@thor_benson) September 5, 2020
We’re not talking about the Great Lakes here. The only way to get waves like that in Lake Travis is a thunderstorm, or extreme stupidity. There was no thunderstorm.Rough waters on Lake Travis as hundreds of boats in Trump boat parade. Several swaamped. #Statesman @bobphoto pic.twitter.com/DPpKKhgljF— bobphoto (@bobphoto) September 5, 2020
As the CBS article points out, the rough water was stirred up by stupid boaters, not by Mother Nature. These idiots ruined their own parade. The article also points out Travis County still doesn’t know how many boats were lost, but it was more than a few.Okay, who gave Antifa the nuclear submarines? This metaphor was WAY too on the nose.
Facebook brings out the stupid.“We had an exceptional number of boats on the lake today. When they all started moving at the same time, it generated significant waves.” https://t.co/ksEiFex9Ap

I wonder what the percentage of people who own boats is, I would imagine, they being boaters. for Trump, we're not talking canoes, kayaks or, possibly, row boat. I'm trying to think of the people I know who own motor boats and I'm pretty sure at least several of them would be never Trumpers. I wonder how many of those in this incident were drunk at the time.
ReplyDeleteHigh percentage, I’d guess. Lake Travis is basically a long narrow bathtub. Stir up the water, it’s got nowhere to go. This was entirely predictable, IOW.
ReplyDeleteVery on brand that they needed to be rescued by the sheriff and we're not rescued by other Trump boaters.
ReplyDeleteThat and more people own cars than own boats. Cars were once a luxury item. Boats still are, especially the big ones churning up that water.
