And I don't mean that as a criticism. But those who imagine Trump will continue to hold power over his "base" through OANN or Newsmax overstate the size of that base. Whatever prominence FoxNews had was because Trump was POTUS. Hannity and Pirro without Trump in office are just ranters on a cable TV network, and cable is going the way of Betamax (if you don't remember Betamax, you've made my point). Trump's base is on the fringes, and that fringe will shrink from the center of power as Trump leaves that center. That said, this is a good critique. Though it could have been made 4 years ago as accurately as it's made now.
