This, from the WH, doesn't exactly sound like this:As @anniekarni noted, @PressSec on Friday gave a different message than Fauci on whether Trump should be involved. The White House has bristled at suggestions the Trump admin should get credit as Biden admin has raced to address distribution issues. So this is new > https://t.co/6uuhpUv157

Trump is not just a loose cannon, he's a child, a toddler. He won’t “join in,” he’ll just rant about how he won in November, and how he needs all the credit for the vaccine. What the White House wants is for Trump to step up the way Bush, Carter, and Obama have done. If he can’t do that much, how do you “invite him in” to do anything at all? Send him an engraved invitation on a gilt-edged card delivered by servants in livery in a horse-drawn barouche? And would even that make him behave like a responsible adult? There are a few reasons the WH is so laser-focused on making clear it’s under Biden that distribution picked up significantly. But they face same intractable problem - if they invite Trump in, he will likely try to stomp all over them. Without him, not everyone gets vaxxed.
