Reminder: it is a crime to misuse 911 or make a false crime report.

It diverts police resources away from actual emergencies. Also, didn't we just do a whole nationwide thing about the dangers inherent in unnecessary police-public interactions? Don't be an asshole. https://t.co/vKYw1HwuKE
There is a story by Price Day (if memory serves; I have it in a volume somewhere in the house, I'm just too lazy to go look for it) about a man who is granted (he thinks) extraordinary power to repulse evil. "The Twilight Zone" did a version of it, but the short story is far superior to the teleplay.
Anyway, he decides that at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the story he's going to unleash a power that shortens all evil people in the world by 1/2 so they can be known and, of course, punished for their evil. The last few sentences are quite powerful although I can't quote them directly (see "lazy" above), but throughout the story he's feeding a pet parrot, which asks for a "nut," which he provides. As we the reading audience are wondering if this guy was a crank or the real thing, the parrot asks for a nut; and the narrator tells us he fails to reach the bird's perch by a good two feet.
Because....
Anyway, I'm all for Tucker Carlson spewing this nonsense. We'll get a good gauge on the true size of the FoxNews/Tucker Carlson audience if people start doing this. Maybe even round up a few of 'em for harrassing people and making crank calls on 911.
I want to see more mask wearing even if we get to an end of Covid. The country would be immeasurably better off if it was able to minimize the annual influenza epidemics, too.
