Who decides when it’s “scandal season”?

Funny how much power you have when you get to decide what a “scandal” is. Especially when you always get to blame that label on what you also get to label the “mistakes” of others.

There’s just something fundamentally disingenuous in claiming you are only asking questions, it’s the non-journalists who mess it up and force you to ask more questions and write the narrative that absolves journalists of any responsibility for how they report the story they call a “scandal.”

No one else has that power, the power to label stories. But it’s always the fault of the subject when journalists apply that label especially.
