Donald Trump is not a pro se litigant. This is just a sham tactic to have the judge deny him the request thereby giving Trump another political talking point about how “unfair” his trial was in New York. https://t.co/CjiEV6Qc41

"I think one of the best things for prosecutor in this case will be if he takes the stand," Weissmann explained. "It's not allowed; even if you are there and you decide you're going to do it, if you start testifying you either are cut off or your subject to cross-examination. So you just can't start talking at closing and say this is Trump may be saying this now what happened. If you do that, you hop on the stand and the other side gets to cross-examine you."

"Look at that ABC News headline at the bottom of the screen, 'Trump will reportedly deliver' – I'm sorry, Trump – let me read it with a straight face," Scarborough said, fighting back a laugh. "It's not possible, it's not possible. 'Trump will reportedly deliver part of his New York fraud trial closing arguments himself.' The cable news gods, they rain manna down from the heavens to all cable news executive producers wondering what they're going to do. Forget cable news, the late-night comics – oh, my God, they'll have a field day on this."No, Jeebus does not love the cable news gods and late night comics that much. Whatever Trump wants, this isn’t going to happen. The time for testimony is done. Closing arguments is the time to hear from the lawyers, not the parties. Mary Trump has the right response:
