πŸ—³️

Did you ever ask different groups of people the same questions? Were you surprised when you got different answers?

Polls are bullshit.

Remember when Milton was going to be a cataclysmic event? And then it went further south than expected, the storm surge wasn’t as bad as predicted, and the damage wasn’t what was feared?

Hurricanes are far easier to accurately predict than election outcomes. I still remember when Katrina devastated New Orleans. As the refugees from Katrina were still huddling in an arena in Houston, Rita was bearing down on Houston. It panicked the city, caused a 250 mile traffic jam, then ebbed and went east to Beaumont. Thankfully. The carnage on the highways would have been catastrophic.

Quit predicting the future. It’ll be here soon enough. Work on the present. That’s really all you can ever do anything about.
