States’ Rights And Other Non-Legal Concepts

All in a day’s…something:
Noem holds events in Nashville in which she promises more aggressive enforcement of policies the city opposes, attacks Nashville’s mayor, barks at a Latino reporter, and prohibits the state rep who represents the district where she held one event from attending said event.

All in a day’s work!
How to throw shade:
Breaking from the Office of Pres. Obama:

"Our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.

"Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intel Cmte., led by … Marco Rubio."
A Master Class. If you got a grand jury pliant enough to indict (hardly impossible), the case would be dismissed long before the court even had to consider the question of presidential immunity. (And you can only go after people when it’s “right.” Or at least colorably so. Why do you think the NJ Federal Judges tossed Habba?) See how far that gets you in court. Especially since: "Irrefutable proof” is not a legal concept. Evidence is; and the DOJ doesn’t have any. Hasn’t Tuberville (R-Dumb As A Post)  retired yet?
I think we underestimate how many Podunk GOP back benchers are thrilled they get to pretend they are in The Godfather, but with government benefits.
Yeah, that probably explains it. Pardoning a child sex trafficker in order to get her say nice things about you and get the Epstein matter away from you is NOT going to look ๐Ÿ‘€ like suborning perjury AT ALL! And I wonder if suborning perjury would come under the category of “official duties”? It would almost be worth it to force the Roberts Court to put its credibility on the line for the President they love the most. ๐Ÿ’•

Especially if they destroyed their credibility and forced Congress to fix it (with impeachments and constitutional amendments and even altering the jurisdiction of the Court).
