"We actually had a reservation, and got it pretty last-minute, and went in," Code Pink organizer Olivia DiNucci told The Daily Beast. "[W]e didn't think they would be in such an open room—we thought he'd be in a different area—and we were placed really close to them."There is a very popular steakhouse near Chez Adventus. For a long time it didn’t take reservations, which meant “Show up early and be prepared to wait two hours.” Sort of the Franklin Barbecue of local steakhouses. The place finally started taking reservations, but that’s just made the wait longer.
The Lovely Wife and I had a gift card to spend there, and tried to get dinner reservations in December. We finally booked a table for lunch, in March.
This D.C. restaurant, as I understand it, is close to the White House. Sounds like a prime location to me. Trump went there to prove people were dining out in D.C. again, thanks to him. And to prove it was safe to walk a block in D.C. with an entourage of Secret Service agents.
And Code Pink was able to get a reservation for a large group at the same restaurant, at the last minute? But aren’t the restaurants full, again?
🤔
Mark Burnett would have made sure the place was full of the "right" kind of people who would have stood up and applauded Trump and his flunkies, which is obviously the moment they were looking for- and not at all difficult to arrange. I don't get it- but it seems to be a combination of laziness, stupidity and being locked into their own little propaganda world 24/7
