...is not limited to people in mourning? This would explain so much. https://t.co/BkLAn2kOx3— Charlie Sykes (@SykesCharlie) May 12, 2019
Honestly, if this is what this guy thinks is mind-boggling, he needs to wander over to the philosophy department at Columbia. Or walk over to Union Theological for a chat. Or just get out more.
First year students in several disciplines are expected to be less gullible than this. I mean, I'm watching "Angels and Demons" as I type this, and the audience who probably learned to fall for Q Anon from such movies would still think this guy was not serious.
So maybe it's a joke?
One of the more dangerous places you can be in the universe is between a camera and Brian Greene. I watched a little of his string theory stuff on NOVA, probably about the thing that led me to give up that show, for good, and all I could think is that it was a good sign of the decadence of current physics that he's got a major job in teaching it at a prestigious university. I don't think he's at all serious but it's not really a joke, it's just a shtick.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this guy, so that explains a lot. The worst part is, his position makes what he says "sciency." And if it's science, it must be good for you! And if it sounds like a movie, it must be true!
DeleteIf you run into a wall like in "The Truman Show", or if someone knocks off your magic glasses, that could be a problem. Otherwise...
ReplyDeleteWell, there is that...😁
