Or, this happened:The plan is to downplay the level of violence and terror they unleashed, and treat those who refuse to be gaslit as dramatists and hysterics, until even Republicans who described the insurrection *as such* in real time retcon it as a rowdy ho-down nobody had any reason to fear. https://t.co/dT9O2jYMNz

"Yeah. It really hurts me to think I agree with her, but let me just say that, Rush, you probably never have been — experienced trauma or abuse. And I certainly didn't —" the caller said."Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Why do you think that?" Limbaugh said."I'll tell you why. Because as you're describing what AOC said, what she's talking about is, if you've experienced a trauma or an abuse and then you experience another trauma or another abuse, that trauma piles on it — it —" the caller said."Yeah?" Rush asked." It doesn't go away," the caller continued."Yeah?""And so she had this trauma on the 6th, and it sort of gins up past traumas," she explained."So you think I went over and off the rails because I was, what, making light of it?" asked Limbaugh."I think that any woman, any person who's ever been sexually abused or been through trauma is gonna find that insensitive and —" she continued."All right. I appreciate it. I'm out of time. But I appreciate that. I'll have to think about this," Limbaugh closed.
You can't let the passengers drive the bus.
I suspect that the demise of Rush Limbaugh is going to sorely tax my hopes that there is universal salvation. Apparently hate and lies can be practiced so long and at such a profit that it becomes compulsive and as hard to give up as liquor for a late state alcoholic. I've seen those drinking a jug of vodka every day right up till the day their swollen veins rupture. If anyone deserves to languish in a Dante style hell, it's him.
