When, during one of my brawls with my apparently retired troll I found out Tom Lehrer not only retired from his career as a satirist because he got tired of it but that he so little cared about his glorious past that he gave away all of the original tapes of his materials to a guy who was researching them, my respect for him went way up. I have a lot of respect for guys who give up on their comedy careers while they're on the top instead of going well past their sell-by. So many don't.
