The metric is the members of the House:
Hannity: Doing a deal with the Democrats is not acceptable leadership from the Republican Party. Jordan right now has a significant majority of the votes. It's time to elect him speaker.Not the GOP members of the House?
Or does he think the GOP should act like a real political party (e.g. , the Democrats) and fall into line?
Because that horse has done left the barn.
Hannity is only on one end of the incentive in the media to be entirely irresponsible for the results of what you broadcast to millions of gullible if not deranged idiots. The allegedly responsible media does it but not as overtly. They're in the business of selling and making money, it's all business to them and in capitalism, irresponsibility and worse is incentivized. In 2023 in the United States, the worst is incentivized.
