Aloha!

President Donald Trump said in an interview Wednesday that he believes former national security adviser Susan Rice committed a crime by reportedly requesting the names of his transition staffers who were swept up in foreign surveillance, without providing evidence for that bold claim.

"Do I think? Yes, I think,"* Trump told the New York Times when asked if he thought Rice had committed a crime by requesting the unmasking of U.S. persons tied to his campaign.

....

"I think it’s going to be the biggest story," he told the New York Times. "It’s such an important story for our country and the world. It is one of the big stories of our time."

He declined to clarify and said he would explain further "at the right time."

As soon as his investigators get back from Hawaii.

*I can't think of five people who think that's true.

  1. Well, I read Micheal Hayden say that what they're accusing her of doing is routine in the job of a National Security Advisor. And that she could only make the request that it was the NSA that made the decision to unmask the names.

I would imagine it would be easy enough for them to come up with how often previous people in the job did it.

This is the white-supremacy party going after a Black Woman. Only I am sure she's had enough of that already. I hope she hands them their heads.

  2. No question Rice did the right thing, and, as you say, it was the NSA that had to agree to release the names.

The scary bit is how clueless Trump is, and how easily he tosses about allegations without regard to consequences. He''ll tell us more "at the right time." Which is either when FoxNews or Drudge publish something he thinks confirms his belief, or after this story is off the front page and he can safely ignore what he said.
